Frames: What is Sin?

There's something not right with the world. We all know it. And we know we are a part of it. We aren't always (or sometimes it seems ever) the people that we want to be.
The Bible describes what's wrong in a word: "sin." Sin is a loaded word, because many people in the church, sad to say, have tried to define and legislate sin in order to have power over other people. But when we really understand what sin is, it helps us understand what Jesus has done. When we understand how bleak sin is--how it destroys, how it devours, how it ruins, we can understand how great and glorious and merciful God is.
