This is a birthday mix from couple a years back. Here is what I had to say about it then:
31 is my number of choice. Though there are other numbers I like, 31 has always been the one. For what reason, that I really don’t know. It is a prime number. It is a date of my birthday (today). But it’s not my lucky number as I don’t believe in numerology.
To honour this number of mine here is a mixtape which consists of tracks that has a year on their title. More specifically a year that has passed or is passing during my existence.
There were few rules. First: no remakes. So no Cheesy Trance Anthem 2001’s in this tape. Second: four digit or two digit presentation forms were allowed. As you can see from the tracklisting, I had to bend the rules a bit. It isn’t really that easy to come across decent songs with year on their title. Tracks range from electro to house to tech house to techno.
