When Being Nice Is Wrong

Most of us have heard the sayings,
“Turn the other cheek” –
“Forgive and forget” –
“It’s better to give than receive”, etc. 
These sayings sound very good in a perfect world.  However, there are times when we run out of “cheeks”.  If we were supposed to forget, why do we have memories?  If it’s better to give than receive, why are so many people who give their last penny continue to suffer financially?  It's time to get real,  stop the madness, and just talk about this!
