I made this after we had a fight over something. I don't remember what it was, but my general feeling that night was that I wanted to convey to you that I just wanted to take care of you and be a worthwhile partner. I needed to get those feelings out somehow, so I turned on the controller and tried to find the words to what I was feeling. The beginning of Ne-Yo's song "Good Man" struck me "I just wanna be a good man, good man to you, girl // That's all I wanna be." I didn't know where to go from there. I let the spirit of love and compassion guide me. 70 minutes or so later, here's what happened <3
