Without the Usual Suspects

Boston and MA are long used to their commanders in turmoil and change. Longest-serving, wildly popular Mayor Tom Menino is aging and ailing. Pundits have him out the door and not running for a sixth term next year. Then Gov. Deval Patrick hits term limits in 2014.
Big policy stuff and contenders for those seats are certain. Plus, we might confront a special US Senate race.
