we all have our own melancholy w certain bands and this very okay ,
i have this w the old iron maiden & metallica !
it looks like our journeys are like a metaphore after travelling to the east / south north and west it feels good to be back home where journey once started , via the muzik when i speak 4 myself , physically travelling i rarely do , smartphone not to blame this time loll

Great mix btw. Your best so far. Very proto / true metalish. Takes me too back to my beginnings. Heavy Metal wad the first music I listened to consciously, because I was really into fantasy (Conan was my hero, and still is). My oldest childhood friend whom I knew since kindergarten introduced me to bands like Blind Guardian, Manowar and Kiss. I was hooked instantly. Later in the 90s, after Grunge and Britpop, I lost interest and got more into electronica (via trip hop and too much weed). Eventually, when Lemmy died I rediscovered metal.

I guess I just made a full circle with heavy metal: from loving it, to liking it, to tolerating it, to DO NOT LISTEN, to love it. It took approximately 35 years :-D. And you made me do it :-)

metal since half the 80's , from around 2000 untill recently
i was focused on other type of muzik , but since the passing away
of a friend a few months ago i started listening metal again ,
especially doom metal which we both liked and went to concerts together in the past , ...
