Hey, that's music calling #1
Tandoori mix: Hip-hop violin groove. It's freezing at night in this Eswatini winter so I took myself out to a warm restaurant to sit in whilst I mixed this [that's why it's the 'Tandoori' mix]. This features the sound of street style electric violin and reminds us just how much good music is being made. I remember Don Henley (Eagles frontman) saying "Everyone in this [music] industry can play--you can always find someone who is better than you are. To make a mark and survive you have to have something different, an edge. We had the songs: harmony, melody, the dangerous guitars." It could be argued that there's way too much really good music available to hear these days, too much to discover; Mixcloud does a good service by making DJs' discoveries available to new ears.
