Eric Petersen's study of Thomas Jefferson displays the relationship between an educated population and liberty. Jefferson knew when power becomes concentrated, it attracts roguish people and rogues like control. Only an educated and involved people hold the balance to the abuse of office and power. The Texas board of Education recently removed Jefferson from school textbooks devoted to great political thinkers of world history.
