I stumbled into progressive house almost accidentally when I was invited to play a progressive and melodic set about a year into my life as a DJ. It was never a genre I listened to, but I quickly fell in love with the process of mixing, allowing my body to respond to new sounds, and noticing the emotions hidden behind a genre that initially presents itself as purely mechanical.
