In Chronicles 4, we read about a man named Jabez, which by definition means “one who brings pain". There came a point Jabez life where he was no longer satisfied being defined by his past, so he cried out to God and asked to be blessed, increased, and connected to God’s favour in such a way that there would no longer be pain. It was in this moment that Jabez shifted from a position of lack and unworthiness to experiencing the life God intended for him.

Two thousand years ago, Christ hanged on a tree and died. In that moment, tombs wore open, the tempe veil that kept man from the present of God split in two as the earth shook. It was a shift in the spirit so powerful the natural world was shaken to the core, and the potential of our destiny was changed by the blessing forever.

This blessing of redemption is available to us in all facets of life. We can choose to shift our thinking and receive the fulness of it, or we can let the good that God intended for us to pass us by.
