Volume 3: Kru-Cut

Alonzo "Lonzo" William inspired by the record labels being started by folks around him such as Freak Beat by The Egyptian Lover & Roger Clayton and Saturn by Cletus Anderson, he decided to created Kru-Cut. After recruitung the DJ's from his nightclub "Eve After Dark" who went by the names Dr. Dre and Yella. They would go on to form The World Class Wreckin Cru with the addition of Cli-N-Tel. The group became so successful on the independent label Epic Records signed them to a deal and released one LP.

Kru-Cut also released 12" singles produced by Dr. Dre. One of them was Telesis and a group of 3 M.C.'s named Cru In Action or C.I.A. for short. Members included Sir Jinx and Ice Cube. Another group that had their first apperance on the label was Comptons Most Wanted.

Lonzo kept the label operating 1984-1990.
