The evening started off with a warm welcoming circle lead by the collective's main facilitator, Aubrey Griffith-Zill, and with intensions laid the journey began with DJ Luminus guiding dancers into melodic movement and creative expression.
This set picked up in the middle of the night to inspire a continued shift in consciousness towards self awareness and creative flow.... to tap into emotions in the body and release held tensions... to see and be seen... to feel our authenticity... to become more than the some of our parts...
... and beyond.
The Living Arts Collective seeks to hold space for exploration and collaboration throughout the creative process. They regularly host the Friday Night Durham Dance Wave which features house and guest DJs and provides a space for judgement free movement expression.
