I've always tried to bridge styles in my mixing. This is a great example in that there are a number of different elements that provide cohesion and the sequencing of the set is so tight that there is a level of transparency because the drums just flow. Also, I like that this is rough and once again a great exercise in core technique, volume control and detailed EQ.
Timing may not be everything but in mixing it certainly goes a long way.
