Hi all

Jumpin’ JK Homan here. Today, the 10th of January 2026, is a very big day for me. Not only have I posted the final show of 1963 (the traditional review of the year show - had a ball making this one), today is also the fifth anniversary of my show here on Mixcloud! Five years ago today, back in 2021, I posted my first show covering the chart for the 27th of July 1959.

The show has come on leaps and bounds in that time, all sorts of things have changed both in how the show is made and presented and produced and also in my own life aswell. All the while, this show has brought me endless amounts of joy and happiness. I’m so grateful to everybody who has supported me along the way and given me reason to continue. Without your support and your words of kindness, the hard days wouldn’t be so easy to overcome.

As I’m sure you’re all aware, we’re about to experience an unprecedented amount of historical and cultural change. The change will be slow at first, and then very very quick. I cannot wait for this coming year, and I hope you’ll join me for the ride.

Whenever you decided to start listening to the show, be it five years ago or five days ago, thank you for hopping on board and keeping me company. This is a one man show, I do all of this myself and do not have the capacity to promote what I do in any meaningful sense, so any effort anybody goes to to get my name out there, be it sharing the show or telling a friend, is greatly appreciated.

My fifth year here on Mixcloud is going to be a blast, so do stick around to see all that I have in store. Thank you for the last five years, and here’s to the next five too!
