Extra Show (24hr limit!)
Hi all,
Jumpin' JK Homan here. Hope you all enjoyed the most recent episode of the show. I'm currently working on the next one and hope to get it out to all of you pretty soon!
I did intend on posting a special extra episode in between the two, however the episode appears to have been blocked by Mixcloud, most likely due to having too many songs from the same album (I don't know what album it possibly could be, but I digress). So instead, I'm going to post this SwissTransfer link to the show which will expire in 24 hours so whoever wants the show can grab it right now while they have the chance.
It's essentially a bonus episode (presented by the real me in 2026) consisting entirely of Beatles tribute records. There was a whole flood of these at the start of 1964, records all about The Beatles, dedicated to The Beatles, cursing The Beatles, or just plain cashing in on The Beatles. Some of them are pretty good, some of them are unspeakably awful, and I hope I've managed to make an entertaining 75 minutes out of them.

Enjoy this little extra and hope to see you all back for the main show soon!
Take care,
Jumpin' JK Homan

Got it now I’m gonna listen later when I get back cheers
Hope you’ve got the last message not sure whether you’ve got it
Thank you for all the help you are trying to give me, but unfortunately, I’ve got to go out today and I’ll be busy. I am grateful to you for your time in trouble. It’s just one of those things. Take care. Bye for now. I get what you mean about not really knowing where to go cheers@jkhoman
Hi JK - Mixcloud blocked a show of mine recently claiming it had too many songs from one album - this dated back to a show in December 2024 ....... an album I don't own by the way. All the tracks identified were either digitized from my vinyl or from CD's I own. I appealed of course - I didn't win so I pointed out that their systems HAVE to be able to identify what lies behind their rules accurately as without that they simply cannot implement their own published rules and going further by association, you'll therefore NEVER be able to play three Elvis, Beatles, Stones, or Prince etc, songs in a row, as any songs you pick will show up somewhere on some album or compilation album. They declined to get back to me on that one. On a much more positive matter, nice to see you Jumpin' back into this :-)
Yeah this is what I’m struggling with, there’s ENDLESS compilations of rock and roll music (think of the numerous Dreamboats and Petticoats albums), do they count? There’s homemade sunshine pop compilations that have made their way around the internet, do they count? It feels impossible to tell where the line is. While I understand the artist rule to an extent, I feel like the album/compilation rule is entirely arbitrary and I wish there was greater clarity from the powers that be on what their sources are and how they implement them. Even a searchable database of albums would be helpful to at least know if the decision has any basis in fact or not… @
@jkhoman Yes they do count ......... album, compilation, EP, and that's fine and okay in my book but Mixcloud clearly do not have the technology or systems yet, to identify where a track has been sourced or played from, and I'm guessing metadata must be present to allow this to be done accurately. If we are playing tracks from legal sources from our collections and they do not breach either the plays by a single single artist or album / compilation rules, then these shows should never be taken down. I asked them to review the contradictory nature of their published rules relating to "plays by a single artist" v "featured" albums / compilations. The other annoying thing is the lack of consistency in their application of the rules as they aren't blocking shows where single artist three-in-a-rows are being played (allowed of course) despite the fact these tracks must be somewhere on some album or compilation album clearly suggesting their technology is far from suitable to allow us to produce shows with any degree of confidence. We deserve better in my opinion. It's annoying as well when fragrant and regular breaches of their published rules, particularly with live shows go unchecked and basically unregulated.
It’s round about 10 to 12 at night here in the UK as I write
I would’ve loved to have heard that program that you mentioned but it wouldn’t work on my iPad for some reason however hope you’re keeping well. Look forward to the next show. Best wishes.
Maybe this Dropbox link will work better for you?

@jkhoman hi just finished listening to the program and really enjoyed it because it was good fun. Of course evoking the mania that was going on back in 1964. Hope you go from strength to strength and you don’t have as many problems as you have had in the past that you’ve had to deal with you certainly been through the mill and it is a pleasure to support you not just because you do the program but I am concerned about people too about their welfare and how they are that to me is much more important by for now
