Every Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time, tune to James Charisma at KTUH, 90.1 FM (in Honolulu) or KTUH.org (anywhere), for a wild live stream of musical genres through the decades, ranging from early jazz, indie pop, bossa nova, post-punk, afrofunk, glam rock, film scores, Broadway, and beyond.
Charisma plays pop music from the 20th century plus new music from the 21st. Everything from the Ink Spots to the Scissor Sisters, Delta blues to French new wave, Debbie Harry to Harry Belafonte.
Every sometimes, he also co-hosts the live radio shows:
• ANTHEM, which asks: What songs made the biggest impact in your life, and what are the personal stories behind them?
• DEEP DIVE, a musical journey exploring one song covered by dozens of artists through the decades, and
• The Midnight Movie Radio Show, celebrating cult cinema classics through film soundtracks, dialogue clips, sound effects, and music of the era.
