Australia has accepted Iranian refugees ever since the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

In recent years, thousands of Iranian asylum seekers have tried to reach Australia by boat from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Now, the Australian government doubts that most Iranians reaching its shores are real asylum seekers, and want to send them "home."

So what happens to those who can't, or won't, go back to Iran?
