12: Dee Rees (ca. 2011)

The HBO movie, Bessie starring Queen Latifah premieres on Saturday, May 16 so I decided to revisit my interview with Dee Rees, the director of Bessie and the writer/director of Pariah, the amazing indie movie I interviewed her for back in 2011. Miss Rees was and probably still is a awesome. She is grounded, talented, and was an absolute delight. Enjoy the episode!
