SPOTLIGHTS
by Ineshka
Hey everyone!
Choosing spotlights isn’t easy, because I really don’t want to forget anyone whose work I appreciate. There are so many DJs here whose mixes I truly enjoy, honestly, when I start choosing, the list easily goes beyond 10!
So I came up with a cool idea: each time, I’ll spotlight 3 DJs whose mixes I’ve listened to recently and really loved the work. Simple, fresh, and fair!
Each spotlight will last about one week, and I’ll add a short comment for each DJ. I don’t always have enough space to say everything, so it’ll be a one-sentence vibe, something like “cool DJ, cool mix” (or “not-so-cool DJ, but cool mix” haha, just kidding!).
It’s all about fun and sharing what I’m enjoying right now, and it will change every time.
I want also to warmly thank everyone who has supported, appreciated, or loved my work throughout my journey, and who has chosen to shine a spotlight on my creations. It's deeply touching and sincerely appreciated.
Wishing you great inspiration and pease of mind !
Cheers! 🎶✨

Awesome idea! We should all do this. I agree with this. So other great DJs don't miss out.
@ineshka Thank you for explaining in detail Ineshka! 😄 I think your idea is perfect! I though of removing some people every week and adding others but don't think that is the best way! I want to make time to listen to more mixes and three i can do a week too. Maybe more if I listen at the gym.
I will also highlight three from next week. Your idea is the best and fair way. Honest way to do things which I like! 👌🙌👐💫
@Deepsoulelectric Thank you Zane, and I wish you a great return to Mixcloud. Above all, enjoy your talent and whatever makes you happy with music; health comes first! This year has been busier for me than previous ones, hence my recent temporary and repeated absences! I'm also listening to less music than before, but it's just a phase! It's great to be able to listen to music while you're working (at the gym). For me, it needs to be 70 bpm maximum with very subtle beats; during my work, it requires concentration, lol! I only listen during my commute sometimes, or on weekends! Glad to see you back and active here! Take care! I will definitely listen to your new release😊✨🎶💫
Great idea and thank you, happy new year 🎉
🙏🙏🙏☯️☸🕉
Thank you, DJ Xight! Hope 2026 brings you great music and vibes, all the best 🙌✨🎶💫🎉. The art world should indeed be as you describe it: ☯️!
Awesome idea! I think I may look to do the same too ! Have the best year ahead 🎉
Happy New Year Navatar ! All the best for 2026. May your passion bring you lots of joy, creativity, peace and tranquility. I’m happy that this idea speaks to you 🙌✨🎶💫🎉
Hi, Happy New Year, prosperity to you, successful year, 2026 dreams come true
Thank you, Richard. Happy New Year to you too, may 2026 be filled with creativity, passion, sucess, good energy, great vibes, and all the best 🙌✨️🎶💫🎉
Your idea is really brilliant. I also find it difficult to get along with ten people, because there are definitely more DJs that I really appreciate and who do good work, and you don't want to favour anyone or forget anyone. You're so right. That's why I think your idea is great.💯🔝🔊❤️🔥🙌🏻🙌🏻🥳🫶🏻
To be honest, I actually stopped doing spotlights because of that feeling. It was hard for me, and I didn’t want anyone to feel left out. Then this idea came to me, and it finally felt right better for me, and hopefully for others too. Thanks a lot for understanding dear Anja 🤗 Have a great week with great energy and inspiration 🫶✨🎶💖💫
@ineshka I understand exactly what you mean. I also removed two friends and don't feel very good about it. Maybe Mixcloud sees this programme as a positive development and an opportunity, but I find it rather questionable.
@Anjapaingirl I have immense respect for all the DJs here who maintain a purely artistic approach, without ulterior motives or any self interest other than the music.
In my eyes, Mixcloud is a rather unique kind of artistic scene, almost like a theater within a relatively closed circle, mainly among DJs, with only rare interventions from the outside audience, which I sometimes observe with a smile.
Yes, you're right again. With this new Mixcloud feature, it seems legitimate to question the reliability, or even the actual usefulness, of the spotlights, depending on how each person chooses to use them, which I also respect, each way or choice, that it remains within the framework of respect, it s the most important.
I’ve chosen to highlight DJs I’ve listened to recently, and I’ve limited myself to three choices; it’s easier for me to give concrete opinions on my spotlights this way.
