The beautiful clear days are over, no winter wonderland here today in London, just the grey and rain. We need you more than ever Hugo to brighten us up. We have three of us listening today, I love the brassy sound of Grupo Jazz Tumbao, Natalie loves her instruments and was particularly interested in that brilliant Susie Hansen tracks with the strings, DJ EEEE (Effie) representing the younger generation enjoyed the Maria salsa tune, I think performed by El Clan de Salsa. Thank you as always for bringing your wonderful selections to us and teaching us so much. Have a great week ahead and a joyous Christmas with the family. Love, the Lows.
Hi Alban, Natalie and Effie! Winter is really coming! The good news is that the countdown to Summer has begun and the days will progressively have more light. For you the winter must be quite severe. I can't even imagine what it's like. The only time it snowed in my city was in 1986. Listening to music together is more fun. Of course tastes are not discussed! Eheh! If you like these sounds, you will find a new dimension of happiness in dance. Here's the invitation, try it! I also send you a big hug, full of affection, wishing you a merry Christmas. Thank you for all this company and complicity.
It's an amazing song! It is impossible not to shake your body when you hear it! I'm not sure if the original version is by Tabaco Y Su Sexteto. Thank you so much for your comments! Much appreciated!
Found my favorite. Tito Rodriguez!!!! Donde? Donde ETD? Lol that voice is just the real deal. He was one of the first guys that transitioned to salsa post that cha cha cha bolero time
Tito Rodriguez is absolutely fantastic. A unique voice. With him singing we hear more than words. If I had a time machine I would have chosen the 50's to be able to listen live on one of the Palladium nights! Tremendo! Fantastic choice of song!
Loved the selection, Hugo! Despite not being the most refined sound and song, my favorite is "Sabor Tropical", by Afonso Linares Y Su Sonora. But i could choose as well "Montuno Street", "Empieza Sin Mi", "Donde Estaba Tu", "Se No Perdió El Amor" and "Solito"!!! ❤😉
Alfredo Linares has some killer songs. "Sabor Tropical" is one of them. The sound of the recording reflects the passing of the years ... but the quality of the music exceeds that. Thanks for sharing your preferences Daniel! 🙂
