Tropical Explosion

Tropical Explosion is my second installment of live DJ'd 45s derived from the expansive southern hemisphere- this time steering the ship away from the electronic and nu-disco sounds, focusing on the late 60s-early 70s cumbia roots music of mainly Peru and Panama- tho we'll be drifting into a few other regions and styles along the way!

Hoping this mix takes you to another place full of excitement and wonder. These records have a certain magic about them, the raw and primitive nature of them, surviving the elements of jungle and mountain climates, coming to life on a modern soundsystem after sitting quiet all these years. There are a handful of new groups playing stunning new groove cumbia here too. Enjoy the explosion!
