Fox didn’t set out to be a documentary filmmaker. As he tells Alec, he was running an international theater company, but his family had a house in Milanville, Pennsylvania, in the upper Delaware Valley, an area which has become a focus point for drilling. Josh’s family received a letter from a natural gas company – offering a lot of money for drilling rights – and Josh felt compelled to investigate further. Gasland, and Gasland Part II, were born.
