Famed as a late night hangout with a mish mash of kitschy decorations and ceilings lined with surfboards, Dean's Cafe was located on Kellett Street in Kings Cross (Sydney).
We were particularly drawn to this place for its chilled ambience, flattering lighting and the coolest old school jukebox filled with vintage 7 inch singles. Needless to say, I've enjoyed many nights of truly soulful music from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Esther Phillips, Bobby Womack and Marvin Gaye, while hanging out with my closest friends. I will always remember it for there's no place like Dean's.
This set includes some of songs we used to enjoy listening to plus a few recent ones thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!
