Session 2 - Kyle Knoll Interview

Kyle Knoll is a high school teacher pursuing a History PHD, who was the longtime president of the UCLA rowing team back in the mid 2010’s. Over the past few years, he has had experiences ranging from the service industry, graduate school, and in and out of various classrooms to bring him to where he is today.

Today we explore Kyle’s post graduation journey through success at Loyola highschool and how his expectations of graduate school and a path into journalism fell flat on the reality of his experience in a prestegious political journalism program. Ultimately, his story takes us through his process to finding a path forward through success and failure, and finding meaning through it all.
