Paul Leighton Johnson is an American house DJ and record producer. He's self-taught in house music DJing and has mentored young producers. He's also known for his 1999 global hit single, 'Get Get Down'. In 1987, Johnson was hit by a stray bullet, paralyzing him from the waist down. Later, health issues and a car crash led to leg amputations in 2003 and 2010. Johnson spoke about the challenges of managing chronic health while DJing and producing. In mid-2021, Johnson contracted COVID-19 and was hospitalized in Evergreen Park, Illinois. After a long hospital stay, he passed away on August 4, 2021, at age 50. It's a shame to lose such a great talent so early.
