This collection of songs represent an era of self discovery where I connected with myself and other like minded people. This is an unbreakable bond that will live happily ever after between me, myself and those friends. It doesn’t matter if my homie makes bad choices due to his childhood programming and ends up on the streets living a life of struggle, or if I don’t speak to a certain homie all the time. There will always be a strong and unwavering bond of love, compassion, acceptance and appreciation. I call it my chosen family. A chosen family that was born from a common love and appreciation for the same music. It is interesting how music can create those bonds. It’s a powerful thing.
