A selection of tunes from NZ music art pioneer Phill Judd, opens the show, followed by a 2nd set of new NZ music featuring 5 new tracks from artists Phaedra Love ,School Fair and more. In the next set we weird out to Girls Chat Room, cross styles and times with a blasting track from the late Mark Stewart followed by the killer track on my aural soundboard - Pigeon - I Am The Black James Dean. We go naive art jazz with Syd Barrett next, Spawn and do Gospel with Ian Svenonious and one of his many fine bands - Make Up. We fly with surreal poet Anthony Joseph then weird out some more with Girls Chat Room again - Dracula’s Daughter. But there is much much more. The show ends with a 20 minute experiment in sound and mixing called Blotter Sacrament by Mr Dibbs. Essential listening.

I haven't heard this track in a grip!
Its a really great version with the singer having a similar tone to Mickey Dolenz, my favourite Monkee. That they were from Napier and unreleased is even more intriguing. I love the track after it though, by Daiistar, its been an earworm for a week or two now, especially really loud. Rock on.

@coolwaterfm its one of those MBV/Ride style tracks that gets better as they get louder until, as Mark Eitzel says in a lyric "the band were so loud they were lighter than air". Transporting.
