Used a generator to perform this live mix the day after Hurricane Ian passed through Orlando cutting off electricity and internet. This 1 hour & 36 minutes House mix is heavy on Progressive vibes with a dose of Tech scattered throughout. The journey starts at 120 bpm and is meant to build momentum and speed throughout. It ends close to 126 bpm.
Although most of my mixes throughout the years have involved a lot of heavy fader action I decided to mix this in a more traditional House DJ style by primarily the channel volumes with minimal real-time effects & EQ manipulation. The average mix lasts 1 min 45 sec and was executed with the intention to seamlessly weave the songs together. I hope you dig this as much as I enjoyed making it.
‘Wave Generator’ is dedicated to my good friend Mike J. MacGregor. He was my roommate in 1995 and the first person I learned to mix vinyl with. RIP MJM, who also always liked a good wave.
