Graphtek 19 : Wicked

Diving deep into tech and tribal vibes, something wicked this way comes with mix #19. While it’s laced with progressive sounds to lift it from the dark side, the essence of this mix is a pulsating rhythm that only true tech house aficionados will appreciate.

Heavily influenced by the sounds of Greenage and Analog Jungs, "Wicked" is an all-out assault on the bass bins. At times, I wondered if the show was going too deep but decided to lean into it. This is not a populist mix; it’s a medley of underground dance music through and through. The organic and progressive house elements add a dash of optimism & schizophrenia, but make no mistake—this is four on the floor and pedal to the metal.

A funny side note: almost the entire mix is at 122 bpm, which (maybe not so coincidentally) matches the exact tempo of my everyday morning walk.
