Ultimately, this mix is about the journey of contrast because it ends on the polar opposite of the beginning: with lots of energy the last 30-minutes. Overall, loaded with vocal tracks, tech house & primarily progressive house. Lots of fun to mix.
From a technical perspective: lots of on-key semi-long mixes and other more precise shorter mixes are meant to shift things into overdrive. Just like Wave Generator, a previous mix I did a couple of months ago, I use very subtle EQ manipulation except for select spots. I like to allow the songs, and overall arrangement & programming, to tell the story, rather than a DJ trying to remix things real time.
