Submergence is a composition that takes in the greats of modern music including The Cure & The Clash as well as my short list of favourite modern EDM producers Trentemoller, Henry Saiz, The Magician, Zhu and Yuksek amongst others.
This is a piece that reflects the music that has influenced me over the last few decades, with some recent tracks that have gotten under my skin so much that I just couldn’t resist giving them another spin in this new context. The piece focuses on the use of lingering melodic tones, haunting overlays, the cleansing effect of resonant chimes and of course some dance-oriented numbers to punch some energy into what is quite an ambient mix.
