I wanted to take a minute & express my saddness over the death of David Robert Jones, a.k.a. David Bowie. Although his music isn't represented on this particular mix, the creative force of his ideas, drive & ever-changing explorative venues...is. From college term papers (contrasting 'Cracked Actor' to Frost's 'Provide Provide'), to award-winning Halloween costumes (I took 2nd place @ the Manhattan Halloween Parade event dressed as Aladdin Sane) to saving me from a musical fate worse than The Village People fare of my high school peer group, Bowie guided my musical tastes toward experimental rock, ambient & avant garde jazz.
