We asked our Twitter and Facebook followers recently who they'd like to hear a mix from - one of the first responses was for Petrels - I got in contact with Oli, the man behind Petrels straight away and within half an hour or so he'd confirmed that he was on the case.
Oli's album Haeligewielle blends heavily textured drones, acoustic and string instrumentation with electronics and processed sounds in his own unique way. His mix reflects his eclectic approach and influences.
To accompany this mix we have our first guest artist - Chris Koelle. Chris has produced his image after hearing the mix, and I think it visualises the sounds perfectly. You may know his work from the Kyle Bobby Dunn cover for 'Ways of Meaning' or Scott Tuma's 'Dandelion'.
