When you look over this week's playlist, you'll notice that more than half of the songs come from albums that have never been featured on the program before. In keeping with our mission to bring you the widest variety of new Blues music, you'll hear that goes beyond songs and artists and includes Blues styles, as well.
The featured selection from inside "Johnny's Mailbox" is "Walking With the Wolf." The song is by the Kentucky Headhunters with legendary piano master, the late Johnnie Johnson. Their new album, 'Meet Me In Bluesland,' was recorded in 2003, but was just released by Alligator Records in 2015.
