This is a live recording of my set at a seriously vibing house party in Highvale. I played after Accomplice Collective in 6 piece mode and before Boom Boom Bean Selecta both of whom played amazing sets. The brief was mashup so fine tuning a perfect selection was never going to be possible so I took a scratch mix perspective and forced myself to let the OCD tendencies go. What I love about mashup is you can really make it about the music. The idea is to constantly move through genres giving every song a 'fresh palette' feel. The playlist folder that I pulled this set from is 15 hours long!

Love the Seal mix ❤️ Nat
That track is so good I try not to play it. I imagine Kalya got it authorized purely based on how well it is put together. So true to the original but so mind boggingly different. Its a very special piece of music that I try not to play too often so it stays fresh.
This recording is so live you can even hear me doing sound check on the mic over the mix a couple of times. Is it perfect? Fuck no. But from a selector's point of view Im damn happy with the track selection and the trick to mistake ratio is well within the acceptable range. My scratching is only really just getting live ready but I'm definitely starting to bring it out of the bedroom with more confidence.
This set includes a variety of samples with the newest edition taken from the movie Jexi. Ive crafted that and scattered it across some various songs to tackle the issue of mobile phones. To point out how addicted to this technology we all are and how they are pulling us apart and not together.
Thanks to the Highvale crew for having me - youre a great bunch of people to party with.
