Nice unit, that will keep you busy! I would say yes. Set the audio card to Xone in Traktor>Audio Setup then set your output master to Xone L and R under output routing. You will probably have to link the Output Monitor channels as well (same page).

Its the final piece for pro mode so in that sense yes. I got back into it as a hobby about 6 years ago. Bought the S5 for myself at 40 which was 4 years ago and have been slowly piecing things together since. Ive been working on a PC laptop which has been incredibly frustrating even as a hobby hence the spend on the Mac and the interface. I was also given a pair of Bang and Olufsen Penta 1's out of Christopher Skaces old mansion a few years back. They cost me a bit to restore but the sonics literally brought me to tears. That prompted a revisit on pretty much anything. MP3's had to die thats for sure. I havnt really been playing out though - just at friends BBQ's and family events. That has been nice in the sense that it has broadened horizons. A bit like your gypsy take I imagine which was just awesome btw! I do like the dark techno and some bass music but I think Im done with psy trance. Everytime I listen Im like yeah but its not Juno Reactor is it? That Gods and Monsters album OMG. . Im plotting a swing/cabaret set which will be interesting. Ive put some old sets up as Ive put the new one out as a demo. Figured I should add some background.

What is a DA? I use Traktor but it has never sounded as good as CD's or Vinyl. Anyway of improving the sound out of Traktor I would be very interested in hearing about!!
Yep agreed the DA (digital/analgoue converter) in Traktor consoles is not great. Ive heard worse though - for example a Pioneer DJM500 or anything Behringer. So for Traktor to sound amazing you need an external dedicated DA. It goes USB into your computer, then you plug your leads (main, booth and headphones) into the DA. You can spend around $350 to get something similar to say a CDJ or you can spend 2Kish to get studio grade output. I bought this one which was 2.2K so not cheap but sounds amazing and has brought all my latency/buffering etc numbers down to about 3ms ie close enough to 0. Im just running 16 bit 44K to match the source material but it outputs that with stunning dynamic range, resonance, stereo imaging and so on. It does 24bit 192K if you want to record etc. That latest mix I plugged it back into itself, recorded at 24bit in Ableton then exported as a 16bit FLAC. Maschine is run internally so no leads required other the USB. Same with Traktor. So 0 losses on the player side. https://www.rme-audio.de/fireface-ucx-ii.html

Yep that is the correct chain. Added bonus - it fits in my Traktor flight case with the Mac book beside it so I have everything pre patched. Open case - plug PA in, plug single power in (power board inside case) and go! For Ableton Im not really sure on how people DJ with that other than I know plenty do. I mix in Traktor and any samples are tapped out on Maschine in real time. I dont use sync etc. I have a smidg of compression running outboard on the UCX today which seems to be sounding good. I do record into Ableton which is achieved by patching from 2 of the outs to 2 of the ins. For cables its hard to go past Cable Chick lol. She has it all! Ill send you a pic of the setup so it makes more sense. If youre ever in Brisbane, youre more than welcome to drop in and have a listen - the B and O's do not disappoint.
