Podwireless was originally established in 2002 as fRoots Radio, a regular monthly web radio show, based around the world of folk, roots and unpop music that was covered in fRoots Magazine (RIP) – most of which you wouldn’t hear on mainstream radio, even less so these days. It’s presented by veteran broadcaster (BBC World Service, BBC Radio 2, 1, Jazz FM, Capital etc), musician and former fRoots magazine editor Ian Anderson.
