Rebirth

This mix was a bit of an experiment. I wanted to try some of the harder trance and psy-trance tracks I’ve added lately, so it starts off around 128 BPM, pushes up into the 136–137 range, then slowly works its way back down through trance, melodic and into organic house at the end.

There was no big plan with it. I just wanted to see how the faster tracks felt to mix and then bring the energy back down again. Some of it is definitely outside my usual range, but that was the point — try something different and see where it goes.

I also tried doing a live recently, but the software/audio side didn’t seem to behave as smoothly as when I simply record straight to USB. So for now I think USB recording suits me better — mix first, keep it simple, then upload afterwards.

Still learning, still experimenting and still enjoying the journey.
