Rooty Redux 2016

Me and Tayo are returning to our Rooty DJ partnership at the Ministry Of Sound Halloween party (Saturday October 29th) and that got me thinking, what would the Rooty sound be in 2016? Probably much the same as when we had the privilege and problem of keeping a dancefloor rocking after Basement Jaxx had just reduced it to a quivering sweaty heap: relentless energy and drama from the start and a slight edge of cheeky 4am Latin percussion madness. So no midtempo nu-Balearic chuggers here I'm afraid. Here's a Saturday night peak time selection of brand new dance music that definitely still have that magic. See you on the floor x
