FAKE FALL FUNK

The same way it's supposed to be "fall" and you're busting out the sweaters, then it's suddenly 87° F, this show can make you think you know what's next But if you already know exactly where a radio show is going, what’s the point? The fun is in taking a left turn just when the groove tells you to go straight. We move from Danielle Ponder’s emotionally charged “God of You” to Bootie Brown and The Pharcyde, from Mavis Staples’ Prince connection to Thomas Dolby’s wonderfully eccentric “The Key to Her Ferrari.” Listen when you’ve got two hours and absolutely no interest in musical predictability.

For Funk's Sake is hosted by me, Bruce Caines, and comes to you each week from New York City.
