"Disc Co." Re-discovered, re-imagined, and re-created disco classics mixed with love from London. Did you ever go to Studio 54? I didn't. I was just a kid when that all exploded. Oh, and I was 3,500 miles away growing up in a Nottinghamshire mining town. But in this mix I'm there with you. Outside it's a cold and rainy night in Manhattan. Inside we've created our own magical and musical world filled with hypnotic rhythms, beautiful harmonies and beautifully crazy people. This mix is my humble homage to two of my disco curation heroes: Joey Negro and The Reflex. I got goosebumps when I first discovered The Reflex's version of Stevie Wonder's "I wish", he even managed to create a completely new hook in his update. Has Stevie heard it? I'm sure he'd approve. And Joey Negro has guided me to so many classic musical finds with his own repertoire of original music alongside his voluminous catalogue of re-mixes. Thank you guys. Let's do lunch some time.
