Flotation Device celebrates the centennial of György Ligeti (1923–2006) with two hours devoted to this great composer whose ability to coax new sounds from a conventional orchestra led Stanley Kubrick to use his music in the stargate and monolith sequences of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
