This edition of Flotation Device features intriguing new music from Poland, Korea, Italy, Peru, Indonesia, Switzerland and Ukraine, not to mention the US (including two leading figures from the Northwest’s own electronic music scene). We have improvised, composed and fixed-media music, all anchored by historical items from Ornette Coleman and Cecil Taylor: one famous recording of late Third Stream music celebrating its 50th anniversary this week, and one live recording that's just been recovered from the vault for the first time in half a century.
Creative and improvised music from the Northwest and around the world with host Michael Schell. Annotated playlist and photo credits with Comments.
