Staying In

over the years, i only put out three physical CDs for people to snag in shops. Staying In was one of them.

in Ottawa's little scene, i got a reputation for playing "liquid" drum & bass; a smooth, soulful, r&b-tinged sub genre of d&b that was pretty big from 2001-2004, and has been a part of the scene in some form ever since.

back then, mixes i was hearing online and from friends really didn't touch on this style all that much - most were still focused on a rougher dance floor vibe... music you'd listen to while having a few drinks with friends, getting ready to go to a big event. since my favourite style wasn't getting the push i thought it deserved and since i tended to spin tunes that were more on the introverted side, i figured a mix suitable for a quiet night at home might be fun to make... hence the name, "Staying In".

despite a few twitches in the mix, i spent a lot of time programming it. this one is one of my favourites.. enjoy.
