Did you know that the Pavement track in this week's playlist, Whitchitai-To, was written by Jim Gilbert Pepper II, an American jazz saxophonist, composer and singer, of Kaw and Muscogee heritage? It is derived from a peyote song of the Native American Church which he had learned from his grandfather.

The song has been covered by many other artists including Harpers Bizarre, and a version was recorded by The Supremes in 1969 that went unreleased until 2022.
