Did you know?

Did you know that on The Who track (My Wife) in this week's show, , John Entwistle wrote, sang, and played bass, piano, and brass? It was his only contribution to Who's Next, and he described it as a humorous exaggeration of marital paranoia. He later re-recorded it for his solo album Rigor Mortis Sets In.
Entwistle was the only member of The Who with formal musical training. He played bass, French horn, trumpet, and piano, and often added brass arrangements to the band’s recordings. His bass style was revolutionary—he used a treble-heavy tone and rapid-fire fingerwork that made the bass a lead instrument, not just rhythm support.
