1. Don’t consider possessions as your own, but God’s that he has given you to use.
2. Ask, "What are the consequences of my giving habits?” If you question the seriousness of your faith, look at if you are using your possessions in ways that honor God and expand his Kingdom. It ought to be pretty clear.
3. If you don’t feel free to give, investigate why.
4. Trust God enough to give to Him. Ask, “Why do I need to give to the church?”
5. Review your donations to see if they are building Treasures in Heaven or Comfort on Earth. Ask, “How much do I give?”
6. Incrementally increase your giving. Start at 10%.
