Sure, there are a lot of musicians I don't like, some even intensely, but I don't wish any of them dead.
My tone . . . ah—it was a difficult afternoon and suddenly there was this great ray of sunshine: Prince.
hahaha...i'm glad you kinda see it too now...i really wasn't sure...so i'm very very pleased it really DID cheer you up...the vibes man, the vibes... :D
Ach, that is subtle!—but too subtle for me since I don't know the show. Oh no, I've always liked Prince, even if he did become a big weirdo. I've been reminded since his death just how much great music he did.
that's a relief...like i said, i was never his biggest fan...but with the talent that that guy had, it just had to be acknowledged...plus i really love those mid 80's LP he did...my mind is at rest, thank you... ;)
But the Herb is cheery, too.
the Herb was a nod to the following sample of Louis van Gaal...as he is Dutch and 'Bean Bag' used to be the theme tune to a BBC tv thing called 'It's A Knockout'...a pan-European 'fun'n'frolics' game competition that was both domestic and continental...where the winners of the domestic city challenge went on to 'play in Europe' against their domestic city winners...you may know about this already...so using the Herb was a way of acknowledging the current in/out EU debate here...like i always say 'we don't just throw this shit together'....well, we do...sometimes...but sometimes it's a bit parochial...thank you, as always, for listening, sir... (PS - i wasn't sure, from the tone of your original comment, about whether you hated Prince or not....)
Oh, yeah, the Prince.
Yeah, that first one cheered me right the Hell up.
hhhmmmm...it's amazing how Prince could be SO filthy and still sound like he was quoting scripture...a special talent... ;)
hhmmm...on reflection...did you mean the Herb, Robert...???
Also got a Polvo tribute lined-up, yer bugger!
ah...but that one was a given though, wasn't it...??? ;)
The opening cracked me up. I'm about three minutes in.
whaheyyyyy....as intended, obviously...that's why it had to be done asap...thank you very glad, as always...
