New mix! The fun one. The return leg of the great musical roadtrip, where widescreen disco, house and assorted electronic exotica are flung into the boot with absolutely no regard for baggage allowances.

The original plan was a mere six hours. Three hours have already escaped into the wild; this was supposed to be the remaining three.

Reader, it wasn't.

Somewhere between the cosmic chug, Balearic wooziness, deep-house loveliness, disco propulsion and various frankly indefensible genre detours, the wheels came off and I carried on regardless.

The eagle-eyed may spot the original ending. That's because I found it, looked at it, and thought: “Nah, fuck that, this is getting good.”

So I kept going. For another 3 hours and 40 mins.

Result: 9 hours 40 mins of musical over-indulgence, with not a single stone left unturned, kicked over or suspiciously sniffed.

Absolutely ridiculous. Quite possibly unnecessary. But, let's be honest, that's what we're here for.
