#89 - Rainbows & Clouds

89 starts with a John Cleese sampling intro before moving quickly through a couple of dreamy numbers plucked from obscurity. The Joze Gonzales/DJ Koze blend is a thing of rare beauty which is followed up by the oddball Swedish electronic duo Shakarchi & Straneus. We then move into daytime balearic territory with Mudd and John Makin with two sunset style tracks, these are followed by several diverse sounding electronic moments. Next the mix brings back the Balearia starting with the exquisite track ‘picture of departure’ and two peak time white isle gems before closing with the brilliant Maya Angelou (who’s beautiful words give this mix it’s name) singing/talking over the start of the ambient god Max Richter.
